| x | Lawler was the artist chosen to continue this very popular comic strip after its creator, Richard Outcault, defected from the Pulitzer newspapers to the Hearst papers. Pulitzer kept the title and its characters, and Lawler was a very capable "ghost". The strip always ended with a moral, and this one, about politicians, will pertain until the end of time. It reads in part, ÒNever promise what you can't deliver.Ó Buster's dog, Tige, has a good laugh over that. | x | |||||||||
